Every girl needs something made just for her...

For most of us, ready-made fashions are the norm. We shop for items that compliment our style, and rarely have the opportunity to commission items created just for us.

Allow me to let you in on a little secret—one of the fool-proof ways to make a girl feel special is to have an item created especially for her, something that no else else in the world has.

Lotisian niece Wendy Joan Biddlecombe—writer of the Bridget and Gigi bedtime stories and occasional walker of Millie, Bella and Patrick—is creating custom wool scarves for inquiring Lotus shoppers.

Each scarf hand-made and one-of-a-kind, and knit with Lion Brand Yarn. Accents and adornments can be added as well. My scarf (a Christmas present this year) includes small pearls and iridescent blue yarn accents.

These chunky, loop scarves are a must-have item for chilly Sarasota nights (like today!), and even more imperative if you’re traveling north (surely there’s another big snowstorm headed to the northeast!)
